The largest licensed CrossFit event in Europe will take place in the halls of the Rimini Expo Center in conjunction with the return of RiminiWellness
The organization of the Italian Showdown and Italian Exhibition Group announce that the sixth edition of the Italian Showdown will be held in the spaces of the IEG Expo Center in Rimini, simultaneously with 2021 RiminiWellness.
The largest recognized and licensed CrossFit sports competition in Europe – aimed at the large community of practitioners of combined and functional workouts – will be held from 24 to 26 September in parallel with the awaited return of the IEG international event dedicated to fitness, wellness, health nutrition, sport and movement.
With the Italian Showdown, RiminiWellness opens its doors to a unique event on the world scene, chosen for the third consecutive year by CrossFit LLC as Italian competition of a fitness philosophy that finds home in more than 14,000 independent and certified facilities around the world, approximately 700 only in Italy. The 2021 Italian Showdown appointment marks the live return of the competition after the 2020 online edition which involved over 1,500 athletes from 52 countries.
The 2021 Italian Showdown supports the offer of the pivotal event on an international scale of positive energy, an absolute reference point for enthusiasts, sportsmen and business operators of living well and staying fit, sharing with RiminiWellness the mission of promoting global inclusive and social values of sport and well-being in motion.
The event, which is part of the new CrossFit off-season ecosystem, opens up to competitors of all abilities, experience and physical capacity with tests based on different combinations of athletic elements: weightlifting and gymnastics, cardio and endurance, to test the participants on strength, speed and endurance. After a first day dedicated to the elimination phase and the semi-finals on the following day, the final day awaits the spectacular final challenge between the last five athletes left in the competition.
Thanks to this synergy, the 15th edition of RiminiWellness is enriched with moments dedicated to sports, educational and recreational activities for the CrossFit public. In an area of about 400sqm promoted by Xenios USA – sponsor of the area – an intense workout and activity program lead by certified international trainers, including weightlifting, gymnastics and endurance workshops dedicated to all the fitness people and to spectators who want try the discipline.
Contents that contribute to celebrating sport, fitness and health in the three days most awaited by the international community of the sector, protagonist in the entertainment opportunities for sportsmen in the FUN area and business matching in Pro.Fit, as well as in the specialized focuses RiabiliTec, Pilates Junction, RiminiSteel and FoodWell Expo.
Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), listed on the Telematic Stock Market organized and managed by Borsa Italiana SpA, has gained over the years, with the structures of Rimini and Vicenza, a domestic leadership in the organization of trade fairs and congresses and has developed foreign activities – also through joint-ventures with global or local organizers, such as in the United States, United Arab Emirates, China, Mexico, India – which have positioned it among the main European operators in the sector.
